Photography workshop to Norway: white-tailed eagles in flight and moose in Flatanger

Photography in Flatanger: This photography workshop will be an unforgettable experience. Flatanger is rich in unspoiled nature and unique fauna with the most breathtaking landscapes. The setting of this tour are the world famous fjords. Due to our excellent timing we expect an unbeatable light show. The guides know where to go to get as close as possible to the wild animals, so prepare yourself for a great adventure!

Unbeatable fauna and flora of Flatanger
Autumn has started and many breeding birds have left, but there are many more species that you don’t see elsewhere and are now present here. On the coast in Flatanger the star of the show is of course the white-tailed sea eagle! Because we are on the coast we can also expect migratory birds, together with the local gulls of different species, some harbour porpoise and maybe even an otter.
Also Elchof moose are common in this area. We will go out several times to find them. In the forests we can expect the black grouse, hazel grouse, golden eagle, western capercaillie and many small birds such as Eurasian bullfinch and tits. We also have a forest hide at our disposal, where we can photograph a number of species of small birds and red squirrels. With a bit of luck we can even see a pine marten.
Nature experience and photography
In Lauvsnes we will do boat trips of 2-4 hours to find the white-tailed eagle and moose. If the weather permits, we will do a boat trip daily. We also have access to a forest hide for three photographers as much as we want.
We will also go up the hill next to our guesthouse to (hopefully!) see the Northern Lights!
Top photographer Yves Adams will not be the only one guiding this trip. Local guide and photographer Ole Martin Dahle will also be there. This renowned team will make sure that everything is taken care of down to the last detail. Every day will be a productive day. So be sure to bring enough memory cards.

Itinerary & Locations
We fly from an airport of your choice to Trondheim airport and make the journey to Lauvsnes. We settle in our guesthouse where we will stay for the next few days.
The flights are not included in the price.
The program below is indicative and completely dependent on the weather conditions.
If you wish, you can take a seat in a hide for songbirds. This hide is fairly new, so we count on you for results! But one thing is certain, the hide is great and the species will surprise you. The hide is available for a whole week, so you can take a seat at free moments or at times of your own choosing.
From the boat we capture the sea eagles! And many other birds and hopefully animals too of course. During this workshop we will delve deeper into photographing birds in flight. Settings, composition, creativity, etc. We will be guided by an expert in his field and one of the most famous nature photography guides in Norway.
In addition to boat trips and a hide, we also go on a moose safari. We try to find these majestic animals in a setting with autumn atmosphere. During our trips we also pay attention to the beautiful fjords and landscapes. And who knows, luck is on our side and we enjoy the magical northern lights …!
Unfortunately, the trip is over. We make the trip back to the airport and fly home.
